Castle Inquiry

The students were very interested in castles. We began a new class inquiry and transformed our dramatic play area. We learned about the parts and construction of castles. We enjoyed reading various fairy tales and building our own structures.

Spirit Week

Spirit Week March 6 - 10

We take the time of Lent to teach the children about being a light in the darkness. One of the ways children can let their light shine is by helping others. The week of March 6 is a fundraising Spirit week. Each student is encouraged to bring in a loonie or a toonie each day and participate in the fun. Funds will go to our Lenten initiatives.

March 6 – PJ Day

March 7 – Stuffy Day

March 8 – Jersey Day

March 9 – Lion School Spirit Day

March 10 – Tacky Tourist

Family Literacy Day

Dear parents/ guardians,

Friday January 27th is Family Literacy Day. Students are invited to wear their pajamas and bring their favourite stuffed animal to school.

In the afternoon, 1:30-2:30 pm, we are celebrating by inviting parents to bring one of their favourite children’s stories to school. Parents will read their chosen story to a few students at a time. Please note stories should be around 10 minutes long.

If you are interested in volunteering, please let the classroom teacher know by Monday January 23rd.

Thank you!
